You didn't start this business to become buried in it.
You started because you had something brilliant to offer. A product worth building. A gap worth filling. A vision that felt bigger than a job.
But somewhere between the first sale and where you are now, you became the operator, the admin, the systems builder, the follow-up email sender - and the founder who actually loves this work? Fast forward…Your running on empty.
That's the ceiling I keep seeing brilliant founders hit. And it's the exact ceiling I was built to help you break through.
My Story
Hi, I'm Courtney.
I've spent 15+ years embedded inside businesses - across operations, sales, wholesale distribution, stock control, and team building. I've been the person trusted to see what's broken, design what's missing, and execute what's needed, without hand-holding or second-guessing.
From launch-stage startups to established brands hitting scale, I've worked across every growth phase and I know what each one actually demands.
I started POET because I wanted to build something on my own terms - a business designed around my life, not the other way around. I'm a mother first. Everything I've built has been intentional around that. And once I figured out how to make that work for myself, I couldn't stop helping other founders do the same.
“The scariest place to be is the same place as last year. ”
Why POET exists?
When a founder is trapped inside their business, the business stops growing.
Your time and energy are your most valuable assets. When they're consumed by operational friction, the big thinking stops. The vision stalls. And the work you actually love gets buried under everything else.
POET was founded on a simple truth: you should be strategically irreplaceable - but operationally optional. Your ideas, your relationships, your creative direction - those are yours alone. But the systems, the wholesale strategy, the day-to-day complexity? Those can be built, documented, and run without you at the centre of every decision.
My job is to restore that capacity.
I handle the complexity - the systems, the team structure, the commercial strategy, the wholesale pipeline, the customer experience - so you can step back into the role you're actually built for: leading.
How I work
POET is not an agency (despite the implied name)
You won't be passed between account managers or handed to junior staff. When you work with POET, you work with me - directly and consistently.
I embed into your business as a trusted partner, learn what makes it tick, and focus entirely on what moves it forward. Every engagement is built around your specific stage, your specific goals, and your specific gaps.
I don't just advise. I build. I implement. I stay until it works.
One operator. Fully committed. Completely accountable.
If there's something outside expected scope? Bring it. I thrive on a challenge and I'll dive in.
Who POET is for?
You might be exactly who I work with if you're a founder-led business that has hit the point where growth is being held back - not by your product or your vision, but by everything surrounding it.
You're brilliant at what you create. You're less brilliant at pretending you also want to be an operations manager, wholesale coordinator, and systems architect all at once.
Good leaders know their limits. Great leaders strategically outsource.
